ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities - Processes components and systems as required by customer’s request.  Performs testing critical to verifying the appropriate performance as outlined in listed procedures.  Ability to operate and read precision equipment and measuring devices.  Ability to follow written and oral instructions in order to perform assigned tasks throughout the engineering facility.  Must demonstrate clear written and oral communication skills.  Must be customer service oriented, trainable, self-starter, and self-motivated to meet customer demands and deadlines.  Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment as outlined in procedures and chemical safety data sheet information.

Qualifications  -  U.S. citizenship required, basic mathematical skills, high school diploma or equivalent, and fluently communicate in English (read and write). 

Physical Requirements - Must have sufficient mobility to enter all areas of test facilities.  Must be able to walk, stand, bend, twist, and sit for extended periods as and lift up to 35 pounds.

Work Environment - Laboratory environment

Equipment and Machines - Precision equipment (scales and microscopes) (40%), Standard office equipment (30%), Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (30%)

Attendance - Regular attendance is expected (100%), overtime/work outside normal schedule required (10%)

Other Essential Functions - Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must be able to work with limited supervision and display a professional atmosphere that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.  Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety/risk hazard to the employee or others.  Must be able to balance scope, schedule, and budget to insure project success. The work environment demands strict adherence to procedures and processes in order to maintain tight cleanliness of the facility. The work requires the ability to cooperate and work with individuals at all levels of the company and client.
